12th June 2008 Windsurfing: Gwithian Wind Direction: NW Wind Stength: F4-3 Surf / Sea State: Waves Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Broke out the gear, dashed into waves, hard going getting out because of slight wind shadow when launching from NT car park (free!!). had a good time playing with waves, planed occasionally, but hard work with 5.5, but didn't want to use 6.5. Two locals (Rupert and Johnny) turned up, Rupe very very good, on a Skate, did some really nice rides which impressed surfing tuition bird ("Wow, he's doing cutbacks and everything..."). Got tired, wind dropped, ended up doing Walk of Shame but worth it cos I learned a lot, by watching and doing. |
